On September 14, 2023 Transparent Hands, in sponsorship with Systems Limited, organized a free medical camp and preventive healthcare session in Rasool Nagar, Kasur, with the goal of making quality healthcare accessible to underserved patients. A team from CMH Lahore Medical College and the Institute of Dentistry also provided free dental checkups.

Additionally, Allah Wala Trust offered eyesight checkups and distributed free glasses. This initiative aimed to improve the health and well-being of underprivileged individuals by addressing their medical needs and ensuring they receive necessary treatments and services.

A total of 672 deserving patients were able to receive free consultations with expert doctors. It provides a range of essential healthcare services at no cost, including medicines, diabetes tests, uric acid tests, hepatitis B & C screenings, ultrasound, cholesterol checkups, eye checkups, provision of glasses, and blood pressure check-ups. A total of 445 diagnostic tests, including eye check-ups, were conducted.

Most of the patients who sought consultation were suffering from fever, cough, flu, earache, sore throat,  toothache, chest infection, seasonal allergies, weak eyesight, hepatitis C, abdominal pain, diarrhea, diabetes, body pain, body weakness, and scabies.

Preventive Healthcare Session

During the free medical camp, one of our expert doctors conducted a dedicated preventive healthcare session focusing on dental care. The session aimed to raise awareness about the importance of oral hygiene and provide attendees with practical tips for maintaining healthy teeth and gums.

The free medical camp conducted in Kasur had a profound and transformative effect on the lives of 672 deserving patients and their families, who often struggle to access necessary medical care due to their challenging circumstances. The camp focused on addressing this disparity by providing a wide range of essential healthcare services, including free consultations and treatments. A dedicated preventive healthcare session was also conducted, with a specific emphasis on dental care, aiming to raise awareness and promote preventive measures.

The success of the medical camp was made possible through the collaborative efforts of numerous donors who shared a common vision of delivering quality healthcare to underprivileged communities, particularly those residing in remote areas. Their generous contributions and support played a pivotal role in ensuring the camp’s effectiveness and the positive impact it had on the lives of deserving patients.
