We Delivered Free Preventive Healthcare in Terich Mir

Transparent Hands, with the support of PPAF (Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund), HEADS (Health Education And Development Society) and other Donors, organized a free medical camp and preventive healthcare session at Union Council Terich, Upper Chitral, KPK on May 7, 2025. Through this camp, we provided essential medical support to underserved communities in Terich Mir, Chitral.

Free Consultations, Medicines, and Diagnostic Tests:

A total of 256 deserving patients received free consultations from our expert doctors. Along with medical consultations, the patients were provided with free medicines and underwent various diagnostic tests, including:

•         Diabetes tests
•         Uric acid tests
•         Hepatitis B and C screenings  
•         Cholesterol tests
•         Blood pressure checkups

•         Hypertension, Pregnancy-Related Issues
•         Gynecological Issues, Renal issues
•         Anemia, Scabies, Flu

•         Joint Pain, Diabetes

Preventive Healthcare Session

In addition to the medical services, one of our expert doctors held a preventive healthcare session to educate the attendees about Urinary Tract Infection (UTI).

Impact

This free medical camp had a significant impact on the lives of 256 deserving patients and their families. Terich Mir is an underdeveloped area, where many people are unable to access timely medical interventions. Resultantly, their minor health issues worsened. This medical camp became a source of hope for them and improved their quality of life. Moreover, a preventive healthcare session equipped residents with knowledge to uplift their lives and protect themselves from illnesses. This medical camp was also aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goal 3 (SDG 3), which focuses on ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being for all at all ages.
