We Extended Healthcare and Relief to the Needy in Drosh, Chitral
Transparent Hands, with the support of Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF), Takal Welfare Organization (TWO) and other Donors, organized a free medical camp and preventive healthcare session at Union Council Drosh 2, District Lower Chitral, KPK on June 18, 2025. The primary objective of this camp was to provide essential medical assistance to the underserved community in Drosh. At this camp, audiological consultations were also provided with the support of Starkey.
Free Consultations, Medicines, and Diagnostic Tests:
A total of 346 deserving patients received free consultations from expert doctors. In addition to the medical services, the patients were provided with free medicines and underwent various diagnostic tests, including:
- Diabetes tests
- Uric acid tests
- Hepatitis B and C screenings
- Cholesterol tests
- Blood pressure checkups
- Audiological consultations and Audiometry

Preventive Healthcare Session
In addition to the medical services, one of our expert doctors held a preventive healthcare session to educate the attendees about Hypertension. The doctor discussed various aspects of the disease.
Identification of Surgical Cases
During the camp, two patients were identified who required surgical procedures. Depending on the detailed medical and financial evaluation, Transparent Hands may register them for further treatment at one of our panel hospitals.
Impact
This free medical camp made a valuable impact on the lives of 346 deserving patients in Drosh. People of this area often struggle to reach healthcare facilities due to long distances and limited resources. Many patients were suffering from treatable health issues, unable to afford consultations or medicines. At our free medical camp, skilled doctors examined patients, provided necessary medicines, and conducted vital tests on the spot.
This initiative saved numerous families from traveling far. People felt deeply relieved to finally receive proper medical attention.
