We Made Quality Healthcare Accessible to the Needy in Okara

Transparent Hands, with the support of the Association for Gender Awareness and Human Empowerment (AGAHE), Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF) and other Donors organized a free medical camp and preventive healthcare session at Puran, Rohela Tejeka, Okara on April 24, 2025. This initiative delivered essential healthcare services to the underserved population of the area. It ensured access to quality medical care for those who cannot afford it.

Free Consultations, Medicines, and Diagnostic Tests:

A total of 180 deserving patients received free consultations from expert doctors. Along with consultations, the patients were provided with free medicines and underwent various diagnostic tests, including:

  •       Diabetes tests
  •       Uric acid tests
  •       Hepatitis B and C screenings  
  •       Cholesterol tests
  •       Blood pressure checkups

Most Common Diseases

Patients received consultations for a variety of illnesses, including but not limited to:

  •       Migraine, Upper Respiratory Tract Infections (URTI)
  •       Asthma, Urinary Tract Infections (UTI)
  •       Myalgia, Diabetes, Gynecological Issues
  •       Anemia, Scabies, Hypertension, Conjunctivitis

Preventive Healthcare Session

In addition to the medical services, one of our expert doctors held a preventive healthcare session to educate the attendees about Lifestyle Modifications. This session helped educate the community on the importance of healthy habits and preventive practices.

Impact

This free medical camp brought much-needed relief to 180 needy patients. Many of these patients had been suffering due to the unavailability of affordable medical care. The free consultations and lab tests allowed them to receive timely diagnoses, while the provision of medicines ensured that many of them could start treatment without delay. 

Families who were struggling with medical expenses found support through this initiative, and it improved their quality of life. We extend our deepest gratitude for your generous support in making this camp successful.
