Transparent Hands organized a free medical camp for children on 28th August 2019 at Noor Medicare Hospital, Lahore. The camp was organized by Transparent Hands with the collaboration of Noor Medicare Foundation.

This medical camp was specifically organized for the children of slum areas in Lahore who are suffering from viral diseases such as diarrhea and bacterial infections. In the camp, 121 children were provided free consultation. These children were accompanied by their guardians and received free treatment in the medical camp along with medicines. A large number of children were suffering from diarrhea and skin allergies. A few complained of weakness due to not eating properly. The doctors in the camp also advised their parents to make sure to provide their children with nutritious food and clean drinking water. All the children were also vaccinated in the camp to prevent poliovirus with the help of Rotary International.

“My child was having rashes on his skin. I took him to various clinics but nobody could tell us the reason behind this. I’m very happy that this camp has been organized and I consulted a very good doctor here who gave medicines and informed me how to prevent rashes in the future. Thank you.” – Says a mother in the camp

Transparent Hands team comprising of 8 members managed this medical camp successfully. Through this medical camp, Transparent Hands was not only able to provide free healthcare to deserving children but also made their parents aware of the consequences of unclean water and food.
