Improving Access to Preventive Healthcare in Sukkur

Transparent Hands is organizing a free medical camp in Sukkur to provide essential medical care to communities that are often overlooked. Located in Sindh, Sukkur is a historically rich city. Despite its significance, many areas in Sukkur continue to face barriers in accessing basic healthcare services. This initiative aims to deliver quality medical care directly to the people who can’t afford even basic medical services. Through this medical camp, they will receive free consultations, lab tests, ultrasound scans, and medicines.
Challenges
Like many underserved regions in Pakistan, Sukkur struggles with limited healthcare facilities. Many families in Sukkur face financial hardships and lack awareness about health issues. In Sukkur, the most frequently reported diseases include diarrhea, malaria, and chikungunya.
Solution
To address these healthcare challenges, Transparent Hands will be providing a range of free medical services through its upcoming camp in Sukkur. A dedicated team of doctors, nurses, lab technicians, and volunteers will be present to deliver essential medical services. The goal is not only to treat existing conditions but also to educate individuals about the importance of preventive healthcare. Free medical services include:
-General checkups
-Gynecological check-ups
-Ultrasound scans
-Blood pressure checkups
-Blood sugar tests
-Hepatitis B & C screenings
-Cholesterol and uric acid tests
-Free medicines
-Preventive healthcare session
-Registration for further medical or surgical treatment
Preventive Healthcare Session
A key feature of this camp will be a preventive healthcare session, aimed at increasing community awareness. This session will focus on one of the common health concerns in Sukkur.
Participants will learn practical ways to protect their health and reduce risks. By educating the public, we hope to create a stronger community in Sukkur.
