Okara has a limited number of public hospitals that are often overburdened and insufficient to meet the needs of the local population. Due to their limited access to healthcare, residents are at risk for many avoidable health issues.
According to a report by the National Institute of Health (NIH), common diseases in Okara include Malaria, Diarrhea, Typhoid, Tuberculosis, and Upper Respiratory Tract Infections.

Transparent Hands is organizing a free medical camp in Okara in response to several health issues. We firmly believe that prevention is better than cure. That’s why our doctors will conduct a preventive healthcare session at our upcoming medical camp in Okara. Transparent Hands, with the support of Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF), Association for Gender Awareness and Human Empowerment (AGAHE) and other Donors, organized a free medical camp and preventive healthcare session at Union Council Rohela Teje Ka, District Okara. The primary objective of this camp, held on June 26, 2025, was to provide essential medical support to deserving patients in Okara.
Free Consultations, Medicines, and Diagnostic Tests:
A total of 115 deserving patients received free consultations from expert doctors. In addition to consultations, the patients were provided with free medicines and underwent various diagnostic tests, including:

- Hepatitis B and C screenings
- Cholesterol tests
- Blood pressure checkups
