Stand with Us to Improve Maternal and Child Health in Lalyani

Transparent Hands is going to organize a free medical camp in Lalyani to deliver essential healthcare services to underprivileged mothers and children. This effort is also aligned with our dedication to supporting United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 3, which focuses on improving health and well-being. In Lalyani, numerous families live with untreated health conditions because they cannot afford medical care or lack access to adequate health facilities due to other reasons. By bringing these essential healthcare services directly to Lalyani’s underprivileged community, we aim to make an impact on maternal and child health in the region.

Challenges
Many expecting mothers in Lalyani are unable to access adequate prenatal assessments, resulting in complications that could have been prevented. Meanwhile, children face malnutrition and other health problems that often go unnoticed until they become severe. Limited awareness about health-related issues further aggravates the situation, leaving families unaware of simple steps that could protect them.
The district’s infant mortality rate (IMR) is 48.7 per 1,000 live births, and the maternal mortality rate (MMR) is 140 per 100,000 live births. These concerning statistics highlight the need for accessible healthcare services in the area.

Solution
Transparent Hands plans to tackle these health-related issues and challenges by conducting a comprehensive free medical camp in Lalyani. Deserving mothers and children will have the opportunity to consult experienced doctors who will help identify and manage common health conditions. We will also provide nutritional support to patients, strengthening their overall well-being. At this camp, we will provide the following healthcare services at no cost:
