Uplift Vulnerable Communities in Umerkot with Preventive Healthcare

Transparent Hands is organizing a free medical camp in Umerkot, a city where thousands of families continue to battle poverty and limited access to basic healthcare. Despite its vibrant culture and resilient communities, Umerkot faces severe healthcare challenges due to inadequate medical infrastructure and low health awareness. This camp is part of our mission to ensure that quality healthcare reaches the most underserved populations—completely free of cost.
Challenges
Access to reliable and affordable healthcare is a serious challenge in Umerkot. Public hospitals are often overwhelmed and lack the resources to serve everyone effectively. Additionally, low health literacy means many individuals don’t seek medical help until their condition has worsened.
According to regional health assessments, communicable diseases, particularly respiratory infections and gastrointestinal disorders, are widespread. Non-communicable illnesses like diabetes and hypertension are also prevalent but often go undiagnosed or untreated due to lack of awareness and resources.
Solution
In response to these challenges, Transparent Hands will hold a free medical camp staffed by experienced healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, lab technicians, and support staff. This camp will be a lifeline, bringing much-needed medical relief to deserving patients in Umerkot. The following healthcare services will be provided at the free medical camp in Umerkot.
• General Check-Ups
• Gynecology Check-Ups
• Blood Pressure Check-Ups
• Hepatitis B & C Screenings
• Cholesterol Tests
• Uric Acid Tests
• BSR (Blood Sugar) Tests

• Deserving Surgical/Medical procedure cases will be registered
