Transparent Hands Partners with Khursheed Begum Eye Hospital to Provide Free Cataract Surgeries
Transparent Hands, Pakistan’s leading online crowdfunding platform dedicated to providing free medical and surgical care, is proud to announce a partnership with Khursheed Begum Eye Hospital, a project of Allah Walay Trust. The two organizations signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on March 13, 2025, with the shared goal of restoring vision and hope to underprivileged patients across Pakistan through free cataract surgeries.
The MOU was officially signed by Mr. Raheel Abbas, Director of Operations at Transparent Hands, and Mr. Shahid Lone, Chairman of Allah Walay Trust.
Under the terms of this MOU, Transparent Hands will refer eligible patients in need of cataract surgeries to Khursheed Begum Eye Hospital.The hospital will perform cataract surgeries using high-quality lenses, ensuring lasting outcomes. Additionally, the hospital will provide essential pre and post-operative care.
All surgeries conducted under this partnership will be completely free for the patients registered with Transparent Hands. The two organizations aim to extend hope and healing to needy patients suffering from cataract. Many deserving patients will be empowered to lead independent and fulfilling lives.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Raheel Abbas highlighted the importance of addressing vision impairment among underprivileged communities: “This partnership with Khursheed Begum Eye Hospital is a major step in our mission to eliminate treatable blindness.
