Bridging Healthcare Gaps with a Free Medical Camp in Lahore
Transparent Hands successfully held a free medical camp and preventive healthcare session on December 4, 2023, at US Apparel and Textiles, Glaxo Town, Lahore, providing quality healthcare to impoverished patients.
Free Consultations, Medicines, and Diagnostic Tests
A total of 418 deserving patients received free consultations with expert doctors during the medical camp. Additionally, other medical services such as medicines, diabetes tests, uric acid tests, hepatitis B & C screenings, ultrasound examinations, cholesterol assessments, and blood pressure check-ups were provided, benefiting those in need. The camp also facilitated 140 diagnostic tests, ensuring comprehensive healthcare services for the patients.
Diseases and Treatments
The majority of patients who sought consultation during the medical camp presented with common health conditions such as flu, allergies, scabies, fever, diabetes, body pains, cough, and stomach issues. Notably, no surgical cases were registered.
Preventive Healthcare Session
One of our expert doctors held a preventive healthcare session for the attendees at the free medical camp. The session focused on the prevention and management and prevention of scabies.
Impact
The free medical camp organized at US Apparel & Textiles, Glaxo Town, Lahore had a profound impact on the lives of 418 deserving patients and their families. During the medical camp, a wide range of essential medical facilities were provided to the patients. These included free consultations with expert doctors, distribution of necessary medicines, diabetes tests, uric acid tests, hepatitis B & C screenings, ultrasound examinations, cholesterol assessments, blood pressure check-ups, and 140 diagnostic tests. By offering these services, the medical camp ensured comprehensive healthcare coverage for the patients.
In addition to the medical facilities, a preventive healthcare session was conducted as part of the camp. This session focused on promoting wellness and educating the participants about preventive measures. The camp made a substantial impact on the beneficiaries, enhancing their access to quality healthcare services and equipping them with the tools for better health management.
Medical Camp Team
The medical camp team consisted of 12 members: one supervisor, four doctors (two males and two females), one lab technician, one staff nurse, one pharmacist, two patient registrars /crew members, one volunteer, and one photographer.
