Transparent Hands recently held a free medical camp in Dadu with a preventive healthcare session to make quality healthcare available to impoverished patients. The free medical camp was held at Village Khuhra, UC Litany, Tehsil Mehar, Dadu, Sindh, on June 2, 2023.

Free Consultations, Medicines, and Diagnostic Tests

During the free medical camp, a total of 593 deserving patients received free consultations from expert doctors. Along with the consultations, the patients were given medicines and underwent important screenings and check-ups for diseases such as diabetes, hepatitis B and C, typhoid, and malaria, as well as examinations for cholesterol and blood pressure. All these services were provided to the patients without any charges, ensuring their access to necessary healthcare services.

Diseases and Treatments

Most of the patients who sought consultation were suffering from fever, flu, cough, skin infections, asthma, diabetes, hypertension, gastric problems, diarrhea, body pain, and malnutrition. A total of 40 lab tests were also conducted during the medical camp.

Preventive Healthcare Session

During the session on cleanliness and personal hygiene, attendees received valuable tips for a healthy lifestyle from one of our expert doctors. They learned about the importance of regular handwashing, proper dental care, and cleaning their houses. They were also reminded to cover their mouths when coughing or sneezing, use clean utensils for food preparation, and dispose of waste properly.

The free medical camp organized by Transparent Hands had a profound impact on the lives of 593 deserving patients and their families. These patients, who lacked access to proper medical care, received critical health services and support during the camp. The dedicated medical team worked hard to provide tailored diagnoses, treatments, and screenings for potential health risks. The camp also focused on preventive healthcare, empowering patients with information to maintain good health and prevent diseases. This initiative by Transparent Hands has greatly improved healthcare accessibility and continues to positively impact underserved communities in Pakistan.

Medical Camp Team

The medical camp team consisted of 16 members, including two supervisors, four doctors (two females and two males), two nurses, one lab technician, two pharmacists, four patient registrars, and one photographer.
