Empowering the Underprivileged through a Life-Changing Free Medical Camp in Karachi

Transparent Hands successfully organized a free medical camp and preventive healthcare session, ensuring the provision of top-notch healthcare services to underprivileged patients. This took place at Fine Daily, Sindh Industrial Trading Estate, Karachi, on the 23rd of November 2023.

Free Consultations, Medicines, and Diagnostic Tests

A total of 285 deserving patients were provided with free consultations by expert doctors at the medical camp. They also received complementary medicines, diabetes tests, hepatitis B and C screenings, Malaria screenings, cholesterol, and blood pressure check-ups, all provided at no cost. Additionally, a total of 48 diagnostic tests were also provided.

Diseases and Treatments

Most of the patients who sought consultation were suffering from fever, cough, flu, seasonal allergies, chest infection, migraine, scabies, gastric trouble, abdominal pain, body weakness, and pain. 

Impact

The successful organization of the free medical camp and preventive healthcare session had a tremendous impact on the lives of 285 deserving patients and their families. During the medical camp, expert doctors conducted free consultations for various ailments. The patients also received free diagnostic tests and medicines. 

The impact of this medical camp was far-reaching, as it not only provided immediate healthcare solutions but also raised awareness about preventive measures. The medical camp team consisted of 15 members, including 1 supervisor, 2 doctors (1 female and 1 male), 1 staff nurse, 2 lab technicians, 3 pharmacists, 4 patient registrars, and 1 photographer.
