Free Medical Camp Held at Dera, Chaudhary Asif Ali Jutt Sindhu, BhaiKot on March 23, 2022
Transparent Hands, in partnership with Hi-Tech Lubricants Ltd, recently held a free medical camp to provide treatments to patients belonging to underprivileged communities. The medical camp was held at Dera Chaudhary Asif Ali Jutt Sindhu, Bhaikot near Sundar Industrial Estate, Lahore on March 23, 2022 (Pakistan Day).
Free consultations, medicines, and diagnostic tests
A total of 344 deserving patients received free consultations in Bhaikot. Besides free medicines and nutritional supplements, blood sugar and blood pressure tests were also provided free of charge. The medical camp was organized and managed by Transparent Hands, and Hi-Tech Lubricants Ltd joined hands with the organization as a sponsor.
Medical camp team
The medical camp team consisted of 15 members, including a supervisor, three doctors (two males and one female), a female nurse, a pharmacist, two patient registrars, a photographer, and six crew workers.
Awareness session on women’s health
To tackle the lack of awareness about women’s health problems in the area, the medical camp team held a session for female attendees. All COVID SOPs such as wearing face masks, hand sanitization, and social distancing were followed at the medical camp. In addition, the patients received face masks and hand sanitizers free of charge.
Diseases and treatments
Most of the patients who sought consultation were suffering from allergies, cough, fever, diabetes, pains, hypertension, gastric problems, and flu. Free medicines were given to a large number of deserving patients. Only two patients were advised to undergo surgery. Four patients also tested positive for hepatitis C.
The free medical camp made a difference in the lives of over 340 patients and their families. In 2022, Transparent Hands aims to arrange 100 free medical camps across Pakistan. Sponsors like Hi-Tech Lubricants Ltd and thousands of donors are supporting Transparent Hands’ mission to bring quality health care to even more underprivileged and remote areas of the country.
