Free Medical Camp Held in Kotri on May 21 and 22, 2022

Transparent Hands, in partnership with Rafhan Maize Products, recently arranged a free two-day medical camp to provide quality health care to deserving patients. The medical camp was held at Jamia Hazrat Bilal Masjid & Park Public Elementary School, Sikandarabad Colony, SITE Area, Kotri, Sindh, on May 21 and 22, 2022.

Free Consultations and Diagnostic Tests

A total of 610 patients belonging to underprivileged communities received free consultations, out of which 514 were women and children. Medicines, blood sugar tests, ultrasound scans, and blood pressure tests were also provided free of charge. Some of these patients were registered by Transparent Hands for further surgical or medical treatments. The medical camp was organized and managed by Transparent Hands, and Rafhan Maize Products joined hands with the organization under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program.

Medical Camp Team

The medical camp team consisted of 22 members, including a supervisor, three doctors (one male and two females), a sonologist, two nurses, two pharmacists, four patient registrars, a photographer, and eight crew workers.

Awareness Session                                                                                                     

An awareness session about hygiene and cleanliness was also held for the patients and attendees. All COVID SOPs such as wearing face masks, hand sanitization, and social distancing were followed at the medical camp. In addition, the patients received face masks and hand sanitizers free of charge.

Diseases and Treatments

Most of the patients who sought consultation were suffering from allergies, cough, fever, diabetes, pains, hypertension, gastric problems, flu, and weakness. Free medicines were given to a large number of deserving patients. Only two patients were advised to undergo surgeries. Transparent Hands has registered their cases and they will be treated at a panel hospital in Hyderabad.

Impact

The free medical camp in Kotri made a difference in the lives of 610 patients and their families. In 2022, Transparent Hands aims to arrange 100 free medical camps across Pakistan.
