Transparent Hands in association with Center for Peace and Rural Development (CPRD) organized and managed a free Medical and Surgical camp on March 21, 2021, at Takht-i-Bahi Degree College for Boys, District Mardan. Honorable Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs, Mr. Ali Muhammad Khan graced the camp with his presence. Additional Assistant Commissioner, Mr. Farman Ali, MPA Pk-54, Mr. Iftikhar Ali Mashwani, and senior township administrator, Mr. Haji Maaz Ullah Khan were also present. This camp was set up for the underprivileged residing in the said locality. The camp team consisted of twenty-eight members including one supervisor, eight doctors (three male and five female), three pharmacists, two lab technologists (one male and one female), four patient registrars, three female nurses, one photographer and six crew workers. All COVID SOPs were followed by the camp team. Patients and all other attendees were also encouraged to wear face masks. Testing facilities for Hepatitis B and C, blood sugar level and blood pressure were provided. In total 692 patients were provided free consultation and medicines.
The medical camp organized by Transparent Hands has played an instrumental role in assisting 692 patients that turned up at Takht-i-Bahi Degree College for Boys, District Mardan. Majority of the cases examined by the doctors consisted of patients suffering from stomach issues, joints and muscular pains, and various types of allergies. Free, appropriate medication was provided to such patients. Seven medical and surgical cases, two Hepatitis C positive cases and two cases of cochlear implants have been registered with us for treatment. Further medical and surgical care shall be provided to the said registered patients.
Towards the end, Director of Operations, Transparent Hands, Mr. Raheel Abbas presented the shield to the Honorable Minister for organizing and providing support to Transparent Hands in this medical camp. Transparent Hands’ efforts in serving the impoverished across Pakistan were also recognized by the honorable guests. Together, Hon’ble Minister and Addl. Assistant Commissioner distributed certificates and shields to the staff members of Transparent Hands in recognition of their effortless work at the camp.
Addl. Assistant Commissioner provided security to the medical camp, whereas, CEO Ahmed Medical Complex, Mr. Ayaz Khan along with CPRD provided volunteer medical staff for the camp. Team Transparent Hands, extends gratitude to all the honorable guests for assisting us in achieving our goal to hold a medical and surgical camp at Takht-i-Bahi Degree College for Boys, District Mardan. In future, we look forward to organizing such camps where we can be of service to the underprivileged patients in Pakistan and facilitate them with health care. We believe health care to be a primary and basic right of all human beings.
