Free Medical Camp Held in Gambat, Khairpur, Sindh, on June 28, 2022
Transparent Hands recently held a free medical camp and preventive healthcare session to make quality healthcare available to impoverished patients. The free medical camp was held at IRC Girls Elementary School, Moosani Village, Gambat, Sindh, on June 28, 2022.
Free Consultations, Medicines, and Diagnostic Tests
A total of 547 patients belonging to impoverished communities received free consultations by expert doctors. Medicines, diabetes tests, hepatitis B & C screenings, and blood pressure check-ups were also provided free of charge.
Preventive Healthcare Session on Hepatitis
Our expert doctors held a preventive healthcare session for the attendees at the free medical camp in Gambat. The session focused on the symptoms and causes of hepatitis. The doctors also discussed how we can prevent it from spreading.
Diseases and Treatments
Most of the patients who sought consultation were suffering from asthma, allergies, fever, diabetes, pains, hypertension, gastric problems, and weakness. Free medicines were given to a large number of deserving patients. Around 25% of the tested patients had Hepatitis C.
Impact
The free medical camp in Gambat, Nawabshah, Sindh, made a difference in the lives of 547 poor patients and their families. Thousands of donors are supporting Transparent Hands’ mission to bring free quality health care to even more impoverished, remote, and rural areas of the country.
Medical Camp Team
The medical camp team consisted of 24 members, including a supervisor, four doctors (two females and two males), two nurses, three pharmacists, four patient registrars, a photographer, and nine crew workers.
