Free Medical Camp in Ubaro, Sindh sponsored by MSG USA

Transparent Hands organized a free medical camp in Ubaro on 4th October 2019 at BHU Abdul Satar in Taulka Ubaroo, Dist Ghotki, Sindh. The camp was sponsored by MSG, USA. During this one-day medical camp, 331 patients availed themselves of free medical consultation service by the team of Transparent Hands.

Following facilities were offered to the needy patients in this medical camp:

• Free Blood Pressure Test
• Free Diabetes Test
• Free Hepatitis B & C Screening Test
• Free Medicines
• Free Registration of Deserving patients for Surgeries and Medical Procedures

Visitors of all age groups were provided free healthcare facilities in the camp. Many patients were suffering from diarrhea, dehydration, gastroenteritis, and respiratory infections. Due to extremely hot weather, they also complained about fatigue and muscle pain.

Result of Free Medical Camp in Ubaro

In the camp, 91 patients were tested for Hepatitis B & C infection based on their symptoms. Among them, 34 cases were found HCV positive and 2 patients were diagnosed with HBV. Transparent Hands team comprising of 10 members managed this medical camp successfully. The team included 2 doctors, 1 patient coordinator, 1 lab assistant, 1 pharmacist, 1 photographer, 1 supervisor and 3 volunteers.

Health sector in Sindh is in a deplorable state. People living in rural and remote areas in Sindh don’t have access to adequate healthcare facilities due to which children and elders continue to perish. Due to illiteracy, the majority of people are not even aware of their health condition until their disease is progressed to advanced stages. Through this medical camp, hundreds of patients were facilitated and with the help of your donations, we can reach many more patients in Ubaro and its surrounding areas.
