Our Free Medical Camp in Karachi Provides Relief to Impoverished Patients

Transparent Hands, in sponsorship with Soorty Enterprises, organized a free medical camp and preventive healthcare session at Unit 14, Soorty Enterprises, Korangi Industrial Area, Karachi on October 28, 2023. The primary objective of this camp was to provide impoverished patients with access to high-quality healthcare services without any financial burden.

Free Consultations, Medicines, and Diagnostic Tests

A total of 459 deserving patients were able to receive free consultations from expert doctors. In addition to the consultations, the patients were also provided with various medical services and tests without any cost. These services included the provision of medicines, diabetes tests, screenings for hepatitis B and C, Malaria tests, complete blood count (CBC), hemoglobin tests, liver function tests (LFT), renal function tests (RFT), ultrasound examinations, and blood pressure check-ups. Furthermore, a total of 101 diagnostic tests were conducted as part of the camp, ensuring that patients received comprehensive medical care and attention.

Diseases and Treatments

Many of the patients seeking consultation at the medical camp were experiencing skin allergies, fever, diabetes, body pain, high blood pressure, gastric problems, diarrhea, hepatitis, malaria, cough, flu, and weakness.

Impact

The free medical camp had a significant impact on the lives of 459 deserving patients and their families, providing them with essential diagnostic tests and medicines to treat their ailments. We are supported by our numerous donors, who are actively contributing to our mission of delivering quality healthcare services without any cost to underprivileged individuals residing in various remote areas of the country. 

Medical Camp Team

The medical camp team consisted of 18 members, including one supervisor, five doctors (three females and two males), one nurse, two lab technicians, four pharmacists, four patient registrars, and one photographer.
