Providing Vital Healthcare at the Free Medical Camp in Karachi

Transparent Hands recently held a free medical camp and preventive healthcare session to make quality healthcare available to underserved patients. The free medical camp was held at Shadman Park, Shadman Town Malir, Karachi, on November 26, 2023. This initiative aimed to bridge the healthcare gap and improve the well-being of those in need.

Free Consultations, Medicines, and Diagnostic Tests

A total of 530 patients received free consultations with expert doctors. In addition to the consultations, essential medical services such as free medicines, diabetes tests, hepatitis B and C screenings, Malaria testing, cholesterol checks, and blood pressure evaluations were provided. Furthermore, the camp also facilitated 275 diagnostic tests to aid in accurate diagnoses

Diseases and Treatments

Most of the patients who sought consultation were suffering from fever, flu, chest infection, cough, seasonal allergies, skin infection, migraine, high blood pressure, diabetes, diarrhea, abdominal pain, general weakness, and body pain. 

Preventive Healthcare Session 

An expert doctor from our team conducted an informative and engaging preventive healthcare session to educate the attendees about the importance of personal hygiene and adopting a habit of cleanliness.

Impact

The free medical camp held in Karachi had a profound impact on the lives of 530 deserving patients and their families. It served as a testament to the commitment of Transparent Hands and garnered support from thousands of donors who share our mission. Their generous contributions enable us to extend our reach to even more impoverished, remote, and rural areas of the country, ensuring that quality healthcare reaches those who need it the most. The medical camp team consisted of 18 members, including 1 supervisor, 4 doctors (2 females and 2 males), 1 Staff nurse, 2 lab technicians, 4 pharmacists, 6 patient registrars, and 1 photographer.
