Impact
The free medical camp made a difference in the lives of 174 deserving patients and their families. They received free Hepatitis B & C screenings that were inaccessible to them due to financial constraints. Our medical team found two cases of Hepatitis C at this free screening camp in Lahore. These patients can now undergo effective treatments. Free hepatitis B & C screening camps made early detection of this communicable disease possible.
Hepatitis is prevalent in many densely populated areas of Pakistan like Lahore and is transmitted in multiple ways, including reusing syringes, blood transfusion, and sharing of razors.
The early detection of such communicable diseases helps in controlling the severity of the condition and enables the patients to receive timely treatments.
Medical Team
The medical camp team consisted of 11 members, including one supervisor, one doctor, four lab technicians, three crew workers, one volunteer, and one photographer. Overall, the camp was a great success and many impoverished patients received the crucial HCB and HCV screenings.
