We Provided a Healthy Future to the Needy in Karachi
Transparent Hands, with the collaboration of the Care Foundation, recently arranged a free medical camp and preventive healthcare session to provide essential healthcare services to deserving patients. On 29th August 2024, the free medical camp was held at Tooba Public School, Pehlwan Goth, Gulistan-E-Johar Block 9, Karachi. The primary objective was to improve the quality of life of students.
Free Consultations, Medicines, and Diagnostic Tests
A total of 499 needy students received free consultations from our expert doctors. Medicines, blood pressure check-ups, eye checkups, diabetes tests, uric acid tests, hepatitis B & C screenings, and eyeglasses were provided free of cost.
Preventive Healthcare Session on Personal Hygiene
At the free medical camp, one of our expert doctors held a preventive healthcare session for the attendees. The session focused on personal hygiene. The doctors discussed various aspects of personal hygiene and provided invaluable information to the students to improve their health.
Diseases and Treatments
Most of the patients who received consultations were suffering from the following health issues:
- Skin allergies, Diabetes
- Fever, body pains
- Gastric problems
- Diarrhea, acidity, cough
- Flu, and body weakness
Moreover, free medicines were given to a large number of students who couldn’t afford them due to their financial hardships.
Impact
The free medical camp made a difference in the lives of 499 deserving patients. By providing free check-ups, diagnostic tests, medicines, and treatments, we addressed the health needs of the students. Through this camp, we ensured that patients suffering from chronic illnesses could access quality healthcare.
Additionally, the preventive healthcare session provided them with the knowledge to take charge of their health and adopt healthy lifestyle choices.
