We Provided Essential Medical Care in Shikarpur
Transparent Hands, with the sponsorship of Pak-Arab Refinery Limited (PARCO), recently arranged a free medical camp and preventive healthcare session to extend essential medical support to underprivileged communities. The free medical camp was held on 9th November 2024 at the Rural Health Center, Rahimabad, District Shikarpur. The primary objective of this medical camp was to uplift low-income communities in Shikarpur and provide them with crucial medical care.
Free Consultations, Medicines, and Diagnostic Tests
A total of 1180 deserving patients received free consultations from our expert doctors. Medicines, general check-ups, blood pressure check-ups, ultrasound scans, diabetes tests, uric acid tests, hepatitis B & C screenings, cholesterol tests, CBC, malaria, typhoid, and electrolyte tests were provided free of cost. At the free medical camp in Shikarpur, most of the patients who received consultations were suffering from flu, skin allergies, scabies, fever, diabetes, body pains, cough, and stomach issues. Additionally, free medicines were given to a large number of needy patients.
Preventive Healthcare Session
Our expert doctors held a preventive healthcare session for the attendees at the free medical camp. The session focused on the prevention and management of Scabies. The doctors also discussed how the lack of personal hygiene can lead to scabies.
