You Helped Us Uplift Vulnerable Communities in Utror
Transparent Hands recently arranged a free medical and eye care camp to provide quality healthcare to impoverished patients. The free medical camp was held on 12TH August 2024 in Utror, Kalam, KPK.
Free Consultations, Medicines, and Diagnostic Tests
A total of 223 deserving patients received free consultations from our expert doctors. Medicines, Blood Pressure check-ups, Eye checkups, Ultrasound scans, in addition to diabetes tests, uric acid tests, hepatitis B & C screenings, and eyeglasses were also provided free of charge. Diseases and Treatments
Most patients who received consultations suffered from flu, allergies, scabies, fever, diabetes, body pains, cough, cataract, pterygium, eye infections, and stomach issues. Moreover, free medicines were given to a large number of deserving patients.
Preventive Healthcare Session
Our expert doctors delivered a preventive healthcare session to educate the attendees at the free medical camp. The session focused on the prevention and management of scabies. It empowered individuals with knowledge about healthy living.
Impact
The free medical camp made a difference in the lives of 223 deserving patients and their families. It played a vital role in transforming lives by improving access to healthcare for low-income communities in Utror. We provided essential medical services, including screenings, diagnostic tests, medications, treatments, and a preventive healthcare session. By facilitating early detection and treatment of health issues, this camp significantly improved health outcomes and reduced the prevalence of some common diseases.
