Bring Free Healthcare to Low-Income Families in Thatta

Transparent Hands is going to organize another free medical camp in Thatta to provide essential healthcare services to those who are unable to afford them. In this historically significant district of Sindh, many families live below the poverty line and often face the heartbreaking choice between healthcare and other essentials like food and shelter. Our upcoming medical camp aims to eliminate this barrier by providing consultations, diagnostic tests, ultrasound scans, and essential medicines completely free of cost.
Challenges
Thatta’s healthcare system is facing challenges, with only a few quality facilities and overburdened public hospitals that often can’t keep up with the growing needs of the community. Many people travel long distances only to face long wait times and inadequate care. The lack of health education adds to the problems, as many residents do not recognize early symptoms of illnesses and delay seeking medical help.
Environmental issues have led to a high prevalence of diseases such as diarrhea, measles, hepatitis, chikungunya, and diphtheria. These preventable conditions often go untreated due to a lack of resources. Recently, over 90,000 cases of vector-borne diseases were reported in Sindh.
Solution
To bring relief to the people of Thatta, Transparent Hands will set up a free medical camp staffed by a dedicated team of doctors, nurses, lab technicians, pharmacists, and volunteers. We aim to detect illnesses early and provide treatment as well as education to reduce long-term health risks. The following free services will be provided at the free medical camp in Thatta.
- General Physician Consultations
- Gynecological Examinations
- Blood Pressure Checkups
- Hepatitis B & C Screenings
- Blood Sugar (BSR) Testing
- Cholesterol and Uric Acid Testing
- Ultrasound Scans
- Preventive Healthcare Session
- Registration of deserving cases for surgeries or specialized treatment
Preventive Healthcare Session
To encourage better health practices, a preventive healthcare session will be conducted to educate attendees about one of the common health concerns in the region. This knowledge will empower the community to make healthier choices and reduce the burden of diseases.
With your help, we can reach more people and save lives. Donate generously to support this medical camp and extend the gift of health to needy patients in Thatta.
