Challenges 

Landi Kotal Khyber is located in the Khyber District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province in Pakistan. It is situated near the western border of Pakistan, close to the border with Afghanistan. The most common health issues include communicable and respiratory diseases due to its proximity to border areas and malnutrition linked to limited access to nutritious food and poor economic conditions. Moreover, the region also faces water scarcity and poor sanitation resulting in waterborne diseases. Maternal and child health issues also stem from limited access to quality healthcare.

Our Solution 

At Transparent Hands, we are dedicated to ensuring that every individual has the fundamental right to basic healthcare. Our mission is to provide much-needed relief to the vulnerable community of Khyber who lack access to resources for quality medical care. Alongside offering medical relief, our team of healthcare professionals will educate residents on the significance of adopting a healthy lifestyle and provide guidance on disease prevention. For critical cases requiring surgery or specialized treatment, we will refer patients to our network of panel hospitals nationwide. With an unwavering commitment to bringing high-quality healthcare services to the residents of Landi Kotal, Khyber, we humbly seek your generous support in achieving this vital objective.


Transparent Hands, courtesy of the Khyber Rifles, Frontier Corps, organized a free medical camp and preventive healthcare session to provide access to high-quality healthcare services to underprivileged patients. This took place on November 9, 2023, at the Basic Health Unit, Bacha Meena, Landi Kotal, Khyber.

Free Consultations, Medicines, and Diagnostic Tests

A total of 635 deserving patients were given free consultations with expert doctors. They also received free medicines, diabetes tests, uric acid tests, hepatitis B and C screenings, ultrasounds, cholesterol checks, and blood pressure measurements. Additionally, 108 diagnostic tests were also conducted.

Diseases and Treatments

Most of the patients who sought consultation were suffering from fever, flu, cough, chest congestion, seasonal allergies, scabies, diabetes, diarrhea, abdominal pain, and anemia. There was no surgical case registered during the camp. 

Preventive Healthcare Session

One of our expert doctors conducted a preventive healthcare session at the free medical camp, focusing on the prevention and management of scabies.

The free medical camp conducted in Landi Kotal, Khyber, had a profound impact on the lives of 635 deserving patients and their families.
