Transparent Hands provides free healthcare services to deserving patients where they are most needed. We will hold a free medical camp in Shikarpur to provide quality healthcare services to the underprivileged people of Shikarpur. Our medical camp will improve the quality of life for Shikarpur residents who lack access to quality healthcare services. Our medical camp attendees will receive free consultations, diagnostic tests, and medicines from our professional medical team. Our team includes doctors, nurses, and pharmacists who are experts at providing various healthcare services to deserving patients.

Challenges
Established in 1677, Shikarpur has always been significant economically due to its strategic location, rich culture, and commerce. In the 18th century, it was the financial capital of the Durrani Empire. The people of Shikarpur face several healthcare challenges. Limited access to quality healthcare services results in adverse healthcare outcomes. The most common healthcare issues faced by the people of Shikarpur are hypertension, diabetes, diarrhea, Malaria, Typhoid, and Cholera.

Solution
Transparent Hands will arrange a free medical camp and preventive healthcare session to tackle some of the common healthcare challenges experienced by the people of Shikarpur. Our team of professional doctors, nurses, and pharmacists looks forward to providing the following services.

Transparent Hands, with the sponsorship of Packages Foundation, recently organized a free medical camp and preventive healthcare session to provide quality medical support to deserving patients in Shikarpur. The free medical camp was held on December 25, 2024, at Kundan Residency, Near Shikarpur Toll Plaza, District Shikarpur.

Free Consultations, Medicines, and Diagnostic Tests

A total of 556 deserving patients received free consultations from our expert doctors. Medicines, general check-ups, blood pressure check-ups, diabetes tests, uric acid tests, hepatitis B & C screenings, and cholesterol tests were provided free of cost. Diseases and Treatments

Most of the patients who received consultations were suffering from flu, skin allergies, scabies, fever, diabetes, body pains, cough, and stomach issues. Free medicines were given to a large number of deserving patients.

Preventive Healthcare Session

Our expert doctors held a preventive healthcare session for the attendees at the free medical camp. The session focused on the prevention and management of Scabies. It is a skin condition caused by the Sarcoptes scabiei mite, which burrows into the skin, leading to intense itching and a rash.    

Impact

The free medical camp made a difference in the lives of 556 deserving patients and their families, who were facing various health challenges due to limited access to healthcare services. Many of them had been suffering for a long time, unable to afford consultations or treatments. The camp brought hope and healing to the people of this area. 

The camp not only addressed their health concerns but also educated them on how to prevent and manage scabies. The residents expressed immense gratitude as this initiative improved their quality of life.

The medical camp team consisted of 14 members, including 2 supervisors, 3 doctors (one male and two females), 1 lab technician, 2 pharmacists, 4 patient registrars, 1 photographer, and 1 driver.
