Changing Lives with Free Eye Care Services in Lahore
Transparent Hands is going to arrange a free medical camp to make healthcare accessible to the needy in Lahore. We are committed to our mission to extend comprehensive medical care to underprivileged communities. Lahore is an urban city with a large number of hospitals. Yet, many poor people are unable to access timely medical care due to their financial limitations. The primary objective of this medical camp is to uplift low-income communities and provide them with free consultations, eye examinations, eyeglasses, and medications.
Challenges:
Many patients in Lahore face challenges in accessing eye care services due to a lack of quality facilities and high treatment costs. As a result, issues like blurred vision and cataract go untreated, negatively impacting the lives of individuals, particularly the elderly and those from low-income families. Vision problems often lead to difficulties in work, diminishing opportunities, and reducing quality of life.
Over 13,000 new cases of pink eye (conjunctivitis) were reported in Punjab recently, indicating a severe health issue in the region. Moreover, the occurrence of cataract is 51% in Pakistan.
Solution:
Transparent Hands will hold a free eye camp in Lahore, bringing essential eye care services to those in need. Our team of experienced eye specialists will perform check-ups, provide eyeglasses, and offer necessary treatments, enabling residents to experience the joy of clear vision. This initiative will make eye care accessible. At the free medical camp, our team of ophthalmologists, nurses, and volunteers will offer the following free healthcare services to underprivileged people in Lahore.

Transparent Hands, with the collaboration of the Life Hospital, recently organized a free eye camp to provide quality eyecare services to underprivileged patients. The medical camp was held on October 27, 2024, in Mohlanwal Village, Lahore. The primary objective of this camp was to provide the gift of clear vision to patients suffering from eye-related issues.

The free medical camp positively impacted the lives of 264 needy patients and their families in Lahore. Despite living in an urban city, many needy individuals struggle to access timely treatments due to affordability issues. This medical camp addressed some common eye diseases and made every effort to ensure that a maximum number of patients could benefit. Our medical team including eye specialists, pharmacists, and volunteers was on board to extend free health services including consultations, examinations, diagnostic tests, and medicines to the needy.
During the camp, 14 patients were diagnosed with cataract and they needed surgical interventions. We have registered them and referred them to our panel hospitals for undergoing surgeries.
This medical camp played a crucial role in treating the eye issues of many needy individuals who wished to see the world clearly. However, we couldn’t extend these essential healthcare services to this area without your unwavering support. You helped us a lot in making healthcare accessible to deserving patients in Lahore and we are grateful for it.
