Create a Healthy Future for the Needy in Khot, Chitral

Transparent Hands is organizing a free medical camp in Chitral to make essential healthcare services accessible to underserved communities in Khot, Chitral. The city is known for its natural beauty and stunning valleys. However, this remote region also faces a lack of basic healthcare facilities, making it difficult for many residents to receive timely medical attention. Therefore, we have decided to uplift the low-income communities of Chitral by delivering quality healthcare services, including consultations, lab tests, ultrasound scans, and medicines.
Challenges
In Khot, Chitral, public hospitals are few in number, and private clinics are often unaffordable for families living below the poverty line. Many residents struggle to afford healthcare costs, including medications and transportation to hospitals. Moreover, limited awareness about preventive healthcare measures and early disease detection worsens the situation.
Chitral faces a significant increase in tuberculosis and chickenpox. Typhoid, malaria, and fungal diseases are also among the common health concerns in the region.
Solution
To ease the suffering of these residents, Transparent Hands is setting up a free medical camp equipped with a qualified team of doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and volunteers. Our aim is to provide essential medical attention and identify conditions early to prevent complications. In addition to consultations and diagnostic testing, patients will receive free medicines. The following free medical services will be provided at the upcoming medical camp in Chitral:
General Medical Checkups
Gynecological Examinations
Hepatitis B & C Screenings
Blood Pressure Checkups
Blood Sugar and Cholesterol Tests
Uric Acid Tests
Ultrasound Scans
Distribution of Free Medicines
Registration for Medical or Surgical Procedures
Preventive Healthcare Session
Preventive Healthcare Session
A key part of the camp will be a preventive healthcare session, focusing on one of the most common health issues affecting the Chitral region. The session aims to educate the community on symptoms, early detection, and preventive steps to manage the issue effectively. By increasing awareness, we hope to reduce the burden of preventable diseases and improve long-term community health.
