Transparent Hands, in partnership with Rafhan Maize Products, is going to arrange a free medical camp in Jalalpur with a food distribution program, and preventive healthcare session for the needy people of Jalapur, Multan. The free medical camp will be held in Jalalpur, Multan. Our medical team, which included doctors, nurses, and pharmacists will provide a wide range of free healthcare services to deserving patients. They will receive the following:

Challenges

Multan is a city in Punjab, Pakistan, on the bank of the Chenab River. Multan is Pakistan’s seventh-largest city. Multan is a fast-growing city, with an estimated population of four million deprived of clean drinking water and effective sanitation. The contamination in drinking water poses a serious threat to human life because of its toxicity. People are at risk of diabetes, cardiovascular problems, various types of cancer, and multiple viral infections.

Our Solution 

Transparent Hands plans to arrange a free medical camp in Jalalpur and preventive healthcare session for deserving patients residing in Jalalpur, Multan. The doctors and specialists will provide free consultations, medicines, and the aforementioned diagnostic tests. The patients who need surgeries or other medical treatment will be registered with Transparent Hands and referred to one of our panel hospitals. 600 Deserving People Benefited from our Food Distribution Program 

Under our food distribution program, our team handed out food packages to needy people in Punjab. Each food pack contained all the essentials a family needs to survive. Around 600 people in Jalalpur, Multan, benefited from this program in September 2022. 

Most Common Diseases 

The patients were diagnosed with various health problems such as throat infection, seasonal allergies, coughing, asthma, ear pain, migraine, gastric diseases, constipation, cardiac diseases, liver issues, diabetes, blood pressure, kidney pain, respiratory diseases, gynecological problems, and body pain. Three surgical cases were also found during the free medical camp in Jalalpur, Multan.

Preventive Healthcare Session

A doctor held a preventive healthcare session for all attendees at the medical camp. The doctor briefed the attendees about Hepatitis B and C and discussed its symptoms, causes, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention. The attendees were told that they can avoid hepatitis by not sharing personal care items and using contaminated syringes.

This free medical camp and food distribution program made a difference in the lives of 1796 deserving persons and their families. Medical Team 

Our medical camp team consisted of a total of 18 members, including one supervisor, 3 doctors (2 males and 1 female), two pharmacists, two lab technicians, one female staff nurse, two patient registrars, one photographer, and six crew workers.
