Transparent Hands, in partnership with Rafhan Maize Products, is going to arrange a free medical camp in Mureed Waala, with food distribution program, and preventive healthcare session for the needy people of Faisalabad. The free medical camp will be held in Mureed Wala, Faisalabad. Our medical team, which included doctors, nurses, and pharmacists will provide a wide range of free healthcare services to deserving patients. They will  receive the following:

Challenges

Faisalabad is the third largest city in Pakistan and the second largest in Punjab with a population of more than 4 million. The city is facing two major issues which are the absence of clean drinking water and increasing levels of smog due to immense traffic pollution, crop burning, and industrialization. These have led to major health issues including lung, eye, skin, breathing, and heart problems. 

Our Solution 

Transparent Hands plans to arrange a free medical camp in Mureed Wala with preventive healthcare session for deserving patients residing in Faisalabad. The doctors and specialists will provide free consultations, medicines, and the aforementioned diagnostic tests. The patients who need surgeries or other medical treatment will be registered with Transparent Hands and referred to one of our panel hospitals. 600 Deserving People Benefited From Our Food Distribution Program 

Under our food distribution program, our team handed out food packages to needy people in Punjab. Each food pack contained all the essentials a family needs to survive. Around 600 people in Mureed Wala, Faisalabad, benefited from this program in September 2022. 

Most Common Diseases 

The patients were diagnosed with various health problems such as hepatitis C, throat infection, chest infection, seasonal allergies, coughing, asthma, ear pain, gastric diseases, constipation cardiac diseases, liver issue, diabetes, blood pressure, kidney pain, respiratory diseases, tumors, gynecological problems, and body pain. Three surgical cases were also found during the free medical camp in Mureed Wala, Faisalabad.

Preventive Healthcare Session

A doctor held a preventive healthcare session for all people at the medical camp. The doctor emphasized the importance of diabetes prevention and management. The doctor explained that along with diet and medicine, physical activity also plays an essential role in diabetes management.

Our medical camp team consisted of a total of 18 members, including one supervisor, 3 doctors (2 males and 1 female), two pharmacists, two lab technicians, one female staff nurse, two patient registrars, one photographer, and six crew workers.
