Transparent Hands intends to help the needy people of Okara by setting up a free medical camp and delivering a preventive healthcare session in the village of Phularwan Wazirke, Hujra Shah Moqeem, Okara. Our medical team, which includes doctors, nurses, and pharmacists, will provide a wide range of free healthcare services to deserving patients. They will be providing the following:

Challenges 

Phularwan Wazirke is one of the main villages in Hujra Shah Moqeem, Okara. The lack of health facilities in the village resulted in a range of health problems and diseases such as dengue, cholera, tuberculosis, hepatitis, cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, stomach ulcers, urinary infections, and kidney infections. Overall, the health problems and diseases in Phularwan Wazirke, Okara reflect the need for improved access to healthcare services and medicines, as well as education and health awareness sessions. 

Our Solution 

Transparent Hands plans to arrange a free medical camp and preventive healthcare session on dengue and its prevention for the residents of Okara. We believe it’s important for people to learn about the signs, symptoms, and diagnosis of a wide range of health issues in Pakistan through awareness sessions like these. It encourages people to adopt healthy habits that will help them maintain their health throughout their lives. Our doctors and specialists will be available for free consultations, medication, and the aforementioned diagnostic tests during these medical camps. The patients who need surgeries or other medical treatment will be registered with Transparent Hands and referred to one of our panel hospitals. Transparent Hands recently set up a free medical camp and a preventive health care session as part of a life-saving program to help poor people get free medical care. The free medical camp was held in the village of Phularwan Wazirke, Hujra Shah Muqeem, Okara. 

Free Consultations, Medicines, and Diagnostic Tests

Our medical team, which included doctors, nurses, and pharmacists, provided a wide range of healthcare services to 278 deserving patients. Services offered at the camp were:

  • Typhoid Test

Most Common Diseases 

The patients were diagnosed with a wide range of health problems, such as fever, flu, cough, asthma, seasonal allergies, kidney pain, weak eyesight, cardiovascular issues, typhoid, chest infection, PCOS, urine infection, toothache, hepatitis B and C, and diarrhea

Preventive Healthcare Session

A doctor held a preventive healthcare session for all attendees at the medical camp. The doctor briefed the attendees to raise awareness about Hepatitis B and C, and discussed its symptoms, causes, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention. 

Impact 

This free medical camp impacted and helped 278 patients and their families by addressing their medical needs in various ways. The patients were provided with free health consultations, disease detection and diagnosis, medicine distribution, and patient referrals to our panel hospitals for further treatment. The doctor at the camp also told people about different health problems to encourage them to live healthy lives. 

Thousands of donors across the world are helping  Transparent Hands champion the noble cause of providing quality healthcare facilities to underprivileged people living in different parts of the country.
