Transparent Hands plans to organize another free medical camp in Karachi, focusing on improving maternal and child health. Transparent Hands’ mother and child healthcare initiative is healing lives and uplifting communities across Pakistan. Besides improving maternal and child health, our upcoming free medical camp and preventive healthcare session in Karachi also aims to support our nation in achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 3. Karachi’s healthcare system struggles to cater to its vast population, leaving many low-income families without access to essential medical services. Through this camp, we aim to bridge the healthcare gap for the needy in Karachi.

Challenges

In Karachi’s low-income areas, many mothers and children experience severe health challenges due to poverty and other factors. Malnutrition among children and insufficient maternal care are common health concerns in these communities. Many women lack access to gynecological care and guidance for safe pregnancies. Children often suffer from undiagnosed malnutrition, leading to long-term health issues.
According to the World Bank, Sindh had a pregnancy-related death rate of 345 per 100,000 live births and a maternal mortality rate of 224 per 100,000 live births. These health issues highlight the critical need for medical interventions to save lives and improve the health outcomes for the community.

Solution

To tackle these challenges, Transparent Hands will organize a free medical camp and preventive healthcare session under the recently launched mother and child healthcare initiative. The camp will provide specialized services tailored to the needs of women and children. Our dedicated team of healthcare professionals, including a gynaecologist, nutritionist, and child specialist, will ensure that every individual receives high-quality care and attention. The following healthcare services will be provided at the free medical camp in Karachi.

Consultations with a pediatrician

  • Gynecological check-ups for women
  • Blood Pressure check-ups
  • Nutritional screening for children
  • BMI calculation
  • Blood sugar tests
  • Complete blood counts
  • Ultrasound scans for women
  • Preventive Healthcare Session
  • Deserving Surgical/Medical procedure cases will be registered

Preventive Healthcare Session
Our medical experts will also hold a preventive healthcare session at the camp to educate families about the importance of nutrition. By equipping the community with this knowledge, we aim to encourage healthier lifestyles and improve long-term well-being.

Your support will play a key role in making this initiative successful. Join us in creating a healthier future for the mothers and children of Karachi. Your generosity can bring hope, healing, and a healthier future to needy patients in Karachi. Contribute now.

Impact

This free medical camp made a significant impact on the lives of 714 deserving patients and their families. Our recently launched mother and child initiative is aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 3, which focuses on ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being for all at all ages. In Karachi, many children belonging to low-income areas were suffering from malnutrition, recurring infections, and undiagnosed illnesses. At the same time, mothers struggled with pregnancy complications, anemia, and a lack of access to gynecological care. We addressed these crucial healthcare needs by providing free consultations, nutritional assessments, medicines, as well as diagnostic tests and delivered timely medical interventions.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to you for making all this possible. Your generous contributions ensured that we continue to bring quality healthcare to deserving patients. Together, we are creating a meaningful difference.
