Empower Needy Patients in Lahore With Free Eye Care Services
Transparent Hands is going to arrange a free eye care camp to help the underprivileged in Lahore. This initiative is part of our ongoing efforts to extend essential healthcare services to those who are suffering from various eye issues and are unable to afford treatments for them. By providing free consultations, checkups, eyeglasses, and medications, their eye problems will be addressed.
Challenges
Lahore is one of the largest cities in Pakistan. However, the lack of affordable medical care leaves many residents with delayed diagnoses and treatments. Children and the elderly are vulnerable to vision impairments and a significant portion of the population, particularly in low-income areas, are awaiting necessary treatments.
The residents suffer from various eye conditions including conjunctivitis, cataracts, glaucoma, myopia, hypermetropia, pterygium, and refractive errors. These vision issues affect the routine tasks of these individuals, negatively impacting their quality of life. According to a study, cataract is the leading cause of blindness (51.5%), followed by corneal opacity (11.8%), in Pakistan.
Solution
To address these health challenges faced by needy patients, Transparent Hands is stepping in to offer a solution by organizing a free eye care camp. Bringing various eye care services to vulnerable communities will reduce the prevalence of eye diseases and improve the well-being of Lahore’s residents. At the free medical camp, our team of ophthalmologists, nurses, and volunteers will offer the following free healthcare services to underprivileged people in Lahore.
· Eye-Check Ups
· Consultations
· Medicines
· Eye-Glasses
· Deserving Surgical/Medical procedure cases will be registered
