Ensure a Healthy Future for Hepatitis B and C Patients in Karachi
Transparent Hands is going to organize a free medical camp to help the underprivileged communities in Karachi. Our objective for this medical camp is to provide free Hepatitis B and C screenings to needy patients. Due to financial constraints, many patients in the city are unable to access quality healthcare and their illnesses often remain undiagnosed and untreated.
Challenges
Karachi is one of the largest cities in Pakistan. However, many individuals, especially those belonging to underprivileged communities, are unable to access timely medical care. According to a WHO report, around 12 million in Pakistan suffer from either Hepatitis B or C.
Hepatitis B & C often go unnoticed until severe symptoms emerge. Hepatitis C is usually transmitted through the reuse of syringes, blood transfusions, and sharing of razors. For many in Karachi, particularly those living in low-income areas, lack of awareness and limited access to healthcare prevent early detection and treatment.
Solution
To address these health challenges, Transparent Hands is going to organize a free medical camp in Karachi. By facilitating early detection and treatment, we can help reduce the spread of the virus and enable individuals to have an improved quality of life. At our upcoming free medical camp in Karachi, the following free healthcare services will be provided:
- HBV Screenings
- HCV Screenings
- Deserving virus-affected patients will be registered to receive a comprehensive treatment regimen at our panel hospitals
Preventive Healthcare Session
Aside from medical services, our doctors will hold a preventive healthcare session to educate the attendees regarding the ways hepatitis B and C are transmitted. Moreover, risk factors, prevention, and the importance of early diagnosis will be discussed, enabling the residents to take proactive steps to maintain their health.
