Transparent Hands aims to help numerous deserving patients by arranging free medical camps throughout the year across Pakistan. This time, we are going to organize a free medical camp and preventive healthcare session in Jaranwala to facilitate the underprivileged people. Jaranwala has limited healthcare facilities, leaving many people with untreated health issues. We support needy people by providing them with free consultations, medicines, and diagnostic tests at our medical camps.

Challenges

Many needy patients in Jaranwala struggle to access timely healthcare due to high costs. As a result, common illnesses often go untreated, leading to poor health outcomes and increasing medical complications.

According to a report by UNICEF, each year, about 91,000 children in Pakistan die from pneumonia, and 53,300 from diarrhea, highlighting severe challenges.

Solution

To address these health challenges, our free medical camp will offer free healthcare services including check-ups, treatments, ultrasound scans, and essential medications. This camp aims to provide much-needed care to improve health outcomes for families in Jaranwala.

Transparent Hands, with the collaboration of Rafhan Maize Products Co Ltd, organized a free medical camp and preventive healthcare session at Chak No# 60 GB, Tehsil Jaranwala, Faisalabad. The primary objective of this camp held on 28th November 2024, was to provide essential medical support to the underserved community in Jaranwala.

Free Consultations, Medicines, and Diagnostic Tests:

A total of 201 deserving patients received free consultations from our expert doctors. Along with consultations, the patients were provided with free medicines and underwent various diagnostic tests including:

  •         Diabetes tests
  •         Uric acid tests
  •         Hepatitis B and C screenings  
  •         Cholesterol tests
  •         Blood pressure checkups

Most Common Diseases

At the free medical camp, patients received consultations for a variety of diseases, including but not limited to:

  •         Fever, cough, flu, and chest congestion
  •         Seasonal allergies and scabies
  •         Asthma, backache, and joint pain
  •         Migraine and kidney problems
  •         Diabetes and high blood pressure
  •         Abdominal pain, diarrhea, and acidity

Preventive Healthcare Session

In addition to the medical services, our expert doctors held a preventive healthcare session to educate the attendees about the prevention and management of gastric issues.

Impact

This free medical camp had a significant impact on the lives of 201 deserving patients and their families in Jaranwala. By providing free consultations, lab tests, and necessary medications, this camp greatly improved the quality of life for numerous individuals in need. Many patients faced financial difficulties and could not afford even basic healthcare in Jaranwala. They received essential medical support and care through this medical camp.

We focused on addressing their crucial health needs, which created a renewed sense of well-being among attendees. Additionally, the camp included a preventive healthcare session, empowering participants with the knowledge to make healthy lifestyle choices. Those who attended expressed heartfelt appreciation for the emphasis on gastric issues management, motivating them to embrace healthier habits. 

This initiative not only fulfilled essential healthcare needs but also gave new hope to vulnerable communities. We are incredibly thankful to you for standing with us in our mission to extend free healthcare services to the rural areas of Pakistan.
