Challenges
People in Lahore face significant health challenges, including limited access to clean drinking water, which increases the risk of waterborne diseases and dehydration. Poor sanitation infrastructure worsens the situation by creating unhygienic conditions and spreading infectious diseases. Stagnant water and inadequate waste management also lead to more disease-carrying mosquitoes, increasing the risk of illnesses.
Moreover, it is important to ensure greater access to healthcare facilities and medical services. To address these challenges effectively, it is essential to improve access to clean water, enhance sanitation facilities, and provide better healthcare services to the deserving community.
Our Solution
Transparent Hands is passionately committed to enhancing healthcare for Lahore’s underprivileged communities. We provide a comprehensive range of services at no cost, including consultations, diagnostic tests, medicines, and preventive healthcare sessions.
Our goal is to detect and prevent diseases early, improve community well-being, and empower individuals with the knowledge to lead healthier lives. In collaboration with top hospitals, we ensure those in need receive the requisite treatments and surgeries. Your generous support can make a significant difference in this noble endeavor—join us in this vital mission to uplift and heal. Together, let’s make a difference and ensure that everyone has access to quality healthcare.
Recently, Transparent Hands, with sponsorship from HTL / ZIC Oil, organized a free medical camp and preventive healthcare session. This camp aimed to provide accessible, quality healthcare to those in need. It took place on February 22, 2024, at Raheem Park, located opposite ZIC Petroleum on Gurumangat Road in Gulberg III, Lahore.
Free Consultations, Medicines, and Diagnostic Tests
A total of 562 patients received free consultations from experienced doctors and were given medications. They also underwent screenings for diabetes, uric acid, hepatitis B and C, cholesterol, and blood pressure. Furthermore, the camp conducted 200 diagnostic tests, ensuring comprehensive healthcare without any financial burden for the patients.
Diseases and Treatments
Most of the patients who sought consultation were suffering from fever, cough, flu, earache, chest pain, chest congestion, weak eyesight, high BP, scabies, body/joint pain, liver pain, diabetes, diarrhea, high cholesterol, and constipation. Only one surgical case was registered.
Preventive Healthcare Session
One of our expert doctors held a preventive healthcare session for the attendees at the free medical camp. The session focused on the prevention and management of diabetes.
Impact
The free medical camp brought a profound difference to the lives of 562 deserving patients and their families. The camp offered vital medical consultations, a range of diagnostic services, and a preventive healthcare session. By providing these services for free, the camp relieved the financial burden on these families and gave them access to essential healthcare that would have otherwise been unaffordable.
Thousands of generous donors are rallying behind Transparent Hands' mission to deliver high-quality healthcare to even the most impoverished, remote, and rural areas of the country. Their unwavering support is transforming lives and ensuring that no one is left without access to vital medical services.
