Transparent Hands organized a free medical camp on 21st June 2019 at Arshad Gujjar Dera Morra Sharif, Band Road, Lahore.

In this medical camp, a team of specialized doctors and para-medical staff conducted a free checkup of 416 patients. Besides general check-up, blood pressure and blood sugar test facilities were also provided to the deserving patients. Free medicines were distributed to the patients as prescribed by doctors.

The majority of the patients in the camp were suffering from various stomach related issues along with fever. Many others complained about joint pain, weakness, flu, chest infection, cardiac and gynae issues. Doctors identified that a large number of patients were at risk of hepatitis A, C & E virus. Out of 416 patients, 41 were screened for HCV and HBsAG. Among these, 6 were found HCV positive and one HBsAg positive case. In the camp, 6 patients were also identified for surgical treatment related to Orthopedic, Gynae, Hernia and Goiter diseases. These patients were pre-registered with Transparent Hands for free medical and surgical procedures.

Transparent Hands team comprising of 12 members managed this medical camp successfully. The team included 3 doctors, 2 pharmacists/dispensers, 3 phlebotomists, 1 supervisor, 1 photographer, and 2 patient registration persons.

Locals who were present at the camp appreciated the efforts of Transparent Hands and requested the organization to set up more camps in their area where people could avail of free and quality healthcare facility which is otherwise, beyond their financial capability.
