Transparent Hands organized a free medical & surgical camp on March 29, 2019, at Thoha Humayun Road Bhaun, District Chakwal. The camp was organized by Transparent Hands with the collaboration of Qazi Foundation Pakistan. In this medical camp, 172 patients were checked free of cost. They were also provided free medicines as prescribed by doctors. Out of these patients, around 78 were given free blood sugar test facility and 114 patients were screened for Hepatitis B and C. Over 50 patients were provided ultrasound test facility for the diseases related to gynae, chest and abdomen. 

In this medical camp, 7 surgical cases were also identified and they were further pre-registered for surgery with Transparent Hands. These patients needed surgical treatment for various diseases including gallstones, lipoma, enlarged prostate, and renal calculi.

Transparent Hands, Qazi Foundation, and Begum Noor Memorial Hospital’s team comprising of 20 members managed this medical camp successfully. The team included 3 doctors, 1 radiologist, 2 pharmacists/dispensers, 4 phlebotomists, 4 helpers, 2 supervisors, 3 patient registration persons, and 1 photographer. There was also a mobile health unit provided by Begum Noor Memorial Hospital specifically to cater to the needs of female patients with gynae issues.

Through this medical camp, hundreds of deserving patients were able to get free medical consultation from a team of qualified doctors. Transparent Hands intends to organize many such free medical camps not only in Punjab but all across Pakistan so that every deserving person can have access to free and quality healthcare.
