Transparent Hands organized a free medical camp on 31st August 2018 in Govt Girls Primary School, Rasool Pur, Depalpur Dist Okara. The camp was organized by Transparent Hands with the collaboration of Mitsubishi Corporation Pakistan. In this medical camp, with the help of Mitsubishi Corporation Pakistan, Transparent Hands checked 487 patients free of cost and they were also given free medicines as prescribed by doctors. Out of these patients, around 90 people were given free blood sugar test facilities.

In this medical camp, Hepatitis B & C test facility was also provided to the patients by one of the local organizations “Ameer Begum Welfare Trust”. Out of all the patients, HCV and HBsAg tests of 87 patients were performed. Among them, 20 HCV-positive cases were found.

In free medical camp Okara, a few surgical cases were also identified and they were further pre-registered for surgery with Transparent Hands. Out of these surgical patients, 1 patient of tonsillitis, 5 patients of general surgery, 3 patients of orthopedic, 4 urology patients and 1 neuro patient was pre-registered.

Transparent Hands team comprising of 10 members managed this medical camp successfully. The team included 3 doctors, 2 pharmacists/dispensers, 2 Phlebotomists, 1 supervisor, 1 patient registration person, and 1 photographer. The camp has successfully created an impact in the lives of more than 480 patients in the surrounding areas of the camp. We look forward to organizing many such camps to facilitate the poor and deserving patients of Pakistan.
