Free Medical Camp in Sundar Industrial Estate sponsored by Kansai Paint (Pvt) Ltd.
Transparent Hands organized a free medical camp on 12th April 2019 at Sundar Industrial Estate, Jamia Masjid Park, Lahore. The camp was organized by Transparent Hands with the collaboration of Kansai Paint (Pvt) Ltd.
In this medical camp, a team of specialized doctors and para-medical staff conducted free checkups of 398 patients. Besides general check-ups, blood pressure and blood sugar test facilities were provided to 120 patients free of charge and they were also advised preventive measures regarding diabetes and hypertension which are the most prevailing health issues in Pakistan. Free medicines were distributed to needy patients as prescribed by doctors.
Around 16% of the patients were suffering from various stomach-related issues. However, others complained about skin allergy, fever, joint pain, weakness, backache, and chest infection. In this camp, 6 patients were diagnosed for surgical treatment such as a nasal polyp, varicose vein, and dermoid cyst. One case of implant removal was also identified and was pre-registered for surgery. These patients will be provided free surgical treatment by Transparent Hands.
Transparent Hands team comprising of 10 members managed this medical camp successfully. The team included 3 doctors, 1 pharmacist/dispenser, 2 phlebotomists, 1 supervisor, 1 photographer, and 2 patient registration persons.
In addition to the people living in surrounding areas, workers of Sundar Industrial Estate and Kansai Paint (Pvt) Ltd were also benefited through this camp. All the people who availed free medical services in the camp appreciated the initiative of Transparent Hands and its sponsors and expressed the desire that many such camps should be organized in their locality where the deserving people cannot get quality healthcare facilities for free.
