Free Medical Camp in SOS Children’s Villages by Transparent Hands
Transparent Hands organized a free medical camp at SOS Children’s Villages Lahore on 22nd November 2019. In this medical camp, a free general health checkup facility was provided to 205 patients including children, their mothers, and staff of SOS Children’s Villages. In addition to free check-ups, the patients were given free medicines as prescribed by doctors.
Those with poor health conditions were further provided with the facility of tests including blood sugar, blood pressure, and hepatitis B & C screening. Among all the beneficiaries, only one case of Hepatitis C positive was identified and further registered with Transparent Hands for free treatment.
Transparent Hands team comprising of 13 members managed this medical camp successfully. The team included 5 doctors (2 males & 3 females), 1 supervisor, 3 lab technologists, 1 pharmacist, 1 patient registrar, 1 photographer, and 1 volunteer.
The director of SOS Villages highly appreciated the efforts of Transparent Hands and expressed the desire that more camps should be organized where the orphans and deserving families can get quality medical facilities for free.
