Transparent Hands organized a free medical camp on 6th September 2019 at Happy Old Age Home in Green Town, Lahore. The camp was organized by Transparent Hands with the collaboration of Qazi Foundation Pakistan.

This medical camp was organized for elderly people living in this old age home for many years. These people were suffering from several health issues including heart disease, blood pressure and blood sugar, and stomach issues. Transparent Hands provided free treatment to 37 people including men and women. In the camp, 3 surgical cases were identified; 2 Inguinal Hernia and one Gallstone case. They were pre-registered with Transparent Hands for free of cost surgical treatment.

Many elderly people complained of weakness and joint pain due to which they were not able to perform their day-to-day activities. The doctor advised them to adopt a healthy lifestyle through exercise (mainly walking) due to which they’ll feel much healthier than before. They also provided them with multi-vitamins to boost their immune system.

Transparent Hands team comprising of 8 members managed this Old Age Home medical camp successfully. Thousands of elderly people in our country are living miserable lives because of poverty. Our goal is to arrange more camps for these people and make sure that they enjoy the rest of their lives in good health.
