Challenges
Rawalpindi is one of the biggest and most populous cities in Pakistan, with a population of over 3 million people. A large number of these individuals are living in vulnerable conditions due to a lack of proper shelter, latrines, hygiene practices, clean drinking water, and most importantly, poor infrastructure of public health sector. The underprivileged people get infected with skin problems and are also exposed to other diseases, including malaria, dengue fever, diarrhea, eye diseases, typhoid, measles, tuberculosis, dysentery, hepatitis, and cardiovascular and respiratory disorders.
Our Solution
Transparent Hands plans to arrange a free medical camp in Rawalpindi and a preventive healthcare session on skin problems and their prevention. We believe it’s important for people to learn about the signs, symptoms, and diagnosis of a wide range of health issues through awareness sessions like these. It encourages people to adopt healthy habits that will help them maintain their health throughout their lives. Our doctors and specialists will be available for free consultations, medication, and the aforementioned diagnostic tests during these medical camps. The patients who need surgeries or other medical treatment will be registered with Transparent Hands and referred to one of our panel hospitals. Our medical team is fully equipped with all advancements for medical assistance to provide and facilitate these people who cannot afford any sort of medical services. Hundreds of deserving patients are in desperate need of your help and would be very grateful for any donation you can make to this worthwhile cause.
Transparent Hands recently held a free medical camp and preventive healthcare session in collaboration with Inspire Pakistan and the United Nations High Commissioner to make quality healthcare available to impoverished patients. The free medical camp was held at the Government Comprehensive School in Sadiqabad, Rawalpindi.
