Challenges

Dadu is a district in Sindh province, southern Pakistan. The town lies just west of the Indus River, about 100 miles (160 km) north-northwest of Hyderabad. Due to recent floods, poor sanitation, and a lack of access to clean drinking water, water and vector-borne diseases such as cholera, typhoid, diarrhea, malaria, and dengue are the most common. Moreover, respiratory infections such as pneumonia and tuberculosis and skin diseases such as scabies and fungal infections are also prevalent in the district, mainly due to poor living conditions and air pollution. These health issues need to be addressed by providing healthcare services and promoting hygienic practices.

Our Solution

Transparent Hands seeks to close the gap between the underprivileged and high-quality health care. It is important to reach out to communities that need better health care but can’t get it. Transparent Hands hopes to meet the healthcare needs of hundreds of people by setting up a free medical camp in Dadu. Our team also plans to arrange a preventive healthcare session on diarrhea for the local residents. We believe that sessions like these help people learn about the signs, symptoms, and diagnoses of various health conditions. At the medical camp, patients will receive free consultations, medicines, and diagnostic tests. Transparent Hands registers deserving patients who require surgeries and medical procedures. They will be treated at any of the panel hospitals. Help us bring quality health care to the underprivileged in Dadu by donating today.

Transparent Hands recently organized a free medical camp in Johi including a preventive healthcare session with the aim of providing quality healthcare services to patients who would otherwise struggle to access them due to limited medical and financial constraints. Diseases and Treatments

Most of the patients who sought consultation suffered from flu, fever, cough, chest infection, asthma, seasonal allergies, diarrhea, diabetes, body pain, hypertension, gastric problems, diarrhea, watery eyes, anemia, measles, UTI, backache, and hepatitis B and C. This emphasizes the need for increased community awareness and prevention measures to address the high prevalence of these diseases.

Preventive Healthcare Session

A doctor held a preventive healthcare session for all attendees at the medical camp. The doctor briefed the attendees to raise awareness about the importance of personal hygiene practices and discussed the critical aspects of hand hygiene, respiratory hygiene, and maintaining clean environments to prevent the spread of infectious diseases. Additionally, the doctor also provided practical tips to attendees on maintaining good personal hygiene practices, such as showering daily, washing clothes and bedding regularly, and avoiding close contact with sick individuals.
