Challenges
Karachi has various health problems and common issues. Breathing problems like asthma and COPD are common due to pollution. Water-related diseases such as diarrhea and typhoid are a concern due to poor sanitation. Diseases spread by insects like dengue and malaria are also present. Lifestyle diseases like heart problems, diabetes, and high blood pressure are increasing due to unhealthy habits. Mental health issues like anxiety and depression are becoming more recognized. Limited access to healthcare worsens these problems, especially for marginalized communities.
Our Solution
This medical camp is specifically designed to cater to the healthcare needs of an underprivileged community. Its primary objective is to provide immediate medical assistance, diagnosis, and treatment to individuals who lack regular access to healthcare facilities.
The camp will offer comprehensive general medical check-ups, diagnostic tests, and free medicines, while also emphasizing the importance of preventive measures and hygiene practices. By directly engaging with the community, the camp aims to overcome challenges such as distance and limited accessibility.
Patients requiring surgeries or further treatments will be registered with Transparent Hands and referred to our network of hospitals. Your generous contribution to this cause can create a significant and positive impact on the lives of deserving patients in Karachi.
Transparent Hands recently organized a free medical camp and preventive healthcare session to provide quality healthcare services to underprivileged patients. It was held at Unit 2/3, Soorty Enterprises, Korangi Industrial Area, Karachi on February 17, 2024. The main purpose of the camp was to address the healthcare needs of individuals who face financial hardships.
Free Consultations, Medicines, and Diagnostic Tests
A total of 662 deserving patients had the privilege of receiving free consultations with expert doctors. The patients were not only provided with free consultations, but they also received free medicines, diabetes tests, screenings for hepatitis B and C, malaria tests, CBC, hemoglobin tests, LFT, RFT, ultrasound examinations, blood pressure check-ups, and a total of 246 diagnostic tests.
Preventive Healthcare Session
One of our expert doctors conducted a preventive healthcare session focusing on personal hygiene and its impact on health.
Diseases and Treatments
Most of the patients who sought consultation were suffering from fever, cough, flu, skin allergies, skin infection, diabetes, body pain, high blood pressure, gastric problems, diarrhea, diabetes, body pain, and body weakness.
