Transparent Hands recently organized a free medical camp and informative preventive healthcare session, to provide high-quality healthcare services to underprivileged individuals. This took place at Metro Power Company Village Qasim Barfat, Jhimpir, Thatta, on December 1, 2023.
Free Consultations, Medicines, and Diagnostic Tests
At the free medical camp, 256 deserving patients received free consultations with expert doctors. They were also given free medicines and tests for diabetes, hepatitis B and C, Malaria, cholesterol, and blood pressure. Additionally, 26 diagnostic tests were conducted to help identify any health issues.
Preventive Healthcare Session on Personal Hygiene
During the free medical camp, one of our expert doctors conducted a preventive healthcare session specifically focused on malaria and provided valuable information on the prevention, symptoms, and treatment of malaria.
Diseases and Treatments
Most of the patients who sought consultation were suffering from fever, cough, flu, sore throat, chest congestion, scabies, malaria, typhoid, anemia, gastric trouble, diarrhea, high blood pressure, diabetes, and body pain.
Impact
The free medical camp in Jhimpir, made a difference in the lives of 256 deserving patients and their families and successfully provided received free consultations with expert doctors, along with free medicines and diagnostic tests for various conditions. In addition, a preventive healthcare session focused on malaria was conducted, offering valuable information on its prevention, symptoms, and treatment. The camp catered to patients suffering from a range of ailments. This impactful initiative has made a positive difference in the lives of these patients and their families, and thanks to the support of numerous donors, we continue its mission to extend quality healthcare services to impoverished, remote, and rural areas across the country.
