Free Medical Camp in Mustafa Town by Transparent Hands and Life Care Foundation

Transparent Hands, in collaboration with Life Care Foundation, organized a free medical, eye & surgical camp on February 16, 2020, at Karamat Colony (Mustafa Town), Lahore for the poor and deserving people of that area. In this camp, 1057 patients were checked free of cost and were also given free consultation, free medicines, free eye checkups, and glasses. In addition to this, polio vaccination, hepatitis B&C tests, blood sugar tests, and blood pressure tests were conducted at the camp absolutely free.

Among all the beneficiaries, there were 416 medical patients, 333 eye patients, 50 gynecology/obstetrics patients, 60 HB test patients, and 60 hepatitis B/C test patients. 118 patients were given free glasses. Furthermore, 20 cases of eye cataract surgery, 4 cases of hepatitis C and 5 medical cases were identified and further registered with Transparent Hands for free treatment.

A team comprising of 40 members managed this medical camp successfully. The team included 12 doctors (4 male & 8 female), 3 female nurses, 2 supervisors, 3 lab technologists, 4 pharmacists, 6 patient registrars, 2 photographers, and 8 crew workers.

This medical camp has successfully created an impact on the lives of more than a thousand patients in the surrounding area of Mustafa Town. We thank Life Care Foundation for working together with us on this project. We hope to organize many such camps to facilitate the underprivileged population of Pakistan in the future.
