Let’s Extend Preventive Healthcare to Keamari

Transparent Hands is arranging a free medical camp and preventive healthcare session to help the vulnerable populations in Keamari, Karachi. It is among those areas where many people are suffering from preventable health issues but expensive healthcare services have made it difficult for them to receive adequate medical care. Through this medical camp, we aim to improve the health outcomes of needy individuals in Keamari and ensure that they receive the medical attention they deserve.
Challenges:
Keamari is a neighborhood located in Karachi, Sindh. The region has experienced cases of viral diseases, including measles and dengue, which contribute to the health challenges faced by the local population. Poor air quality in Keamari has been associated with various respiratory diseases.
Solution:
In response to these issues, Transparent Hands has decided to organize a free medical camp in Keamari. Through this initiative, we aim to address multiple health concerns and bridge the healthcare gap there. By offering comprehensive healthcare services, Transparent Hands aims to dismantle financial barriers, ensuring that the impoverished community of Keamari receives much-needed medical care. Preventive Healthcare Session:
To empower the underprivileged communities of Keamari with knowledge, our doctors will deliver a preventive healthcare session, focusing on the management of one of the common health issues in Keamari. By learning preventive measures, residents can take proactive steps to protect their health, reducing the risk of common diseases and improving their quality of life.
Transparent Hands, with the sponsorship of Pak-Arab Refinery Limited (PARCO), recently arranged a free medical camp and preventive healthcare session to provide quality healthcare services to deserving patients in Keamari. The free medical camp was held on 22nd December 2024 at Kutchi Muslim Bhadala Jamat Community Center, Near Noor Ul Islam Masjid Panjari Para, Bhota Village, District Keamari, Karachi.
Free Consultations, Medicines, and Diagnostic Tests
A total of 875 deserving patients received free consultations from our expert doctors. Medicines, general check-ups, blood pressure check-ups, diabetes tests, uric acid tests, hepatitis B & C screenings, cholesterol tests, CBC, malaria tests, typhoid tests, and electrolyte tests were provided free of cost. Diseases and Treatments
Most of the patients who received consultations were suffering from flu, skin allergies, scabies, fever, diabetes, body pains, cough, and stomach issues. Moreover, free medicines were given to a large number of deserving patients.
Preventive Healthcare Session
Our expert doctors held a preventive healthcare session for the attendees at the free medical camp. The session focused on the prevention and management of scabies, diabetes, and hypertension.
Impact
The free medical camp provided essential healthcare services to 875 deserving individuals, addressing the healthcare challenges of underserved communities in Keamari. Patients benefited from free consultations, diagnostic tests, and medicines, ensuring timely medical interventions for their health concerns.
