Transparent Hands is organizing a free medical camp in Kasur under its mother and child healthcare initiative. This initiative is focused on providing essential treatments to needy mothers and children who lack access to basic healthcare services. Many needy patients in Kasur suffer from treatable diseases due to poverty and limited medical resources. Therefore, we’re empowering mothers and children in the area with essential healthcare services.

Challenges

A large number of mothers and children in Kasur experience health issues because they are unable to access essential treatments due to financial hardships and other reasons. The lack of awareness about common health issues and preventive measures also contributes to their suffering. Women often face gynecological conditions, while children suffer from malnutrition, anemia, and growth-related problems. These challenges are further exacerbated by a lack of regular check-ups, leaving the community at risk of severe complications.
The Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) in Kasur is reported at 48.7 per 1000 live births. Moreover, the Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) in the district stands at 140 per 100,000, highlighting the risks associated with childbirth in the area.

Solution
To address these health concerns, a free medical camp will be organized for mothers and children in Kasur. The camp will offer the following services:

– Nutritional screening for children
– BMI calculation
– Consultations with pediatricians
– Ultrasound scans for women
– Gynecological check-ups for women
– Blood sugar tests
– Hemoglobin Tests
– Blood Pressure checkups
– Preventive healthcare session on Nutrition

In addition, our medical team will also distribute nutritional supplements among the patients and attendees. Transparent Hands will also register the cases of those who require further treatments and they will receive surgical or medical care at one of our panel hospitals.

Preventive Healthcare Session

A preventive healthcare session on nutrition will be held by our expert doctors as part of the free medical camp. This session will educate mothers about the importance of a balanced diet and proper nutrition. By equipping families with this knowledge, the camp aims to improve the overall well-being of families and communities.
